Hi,
My name is Mark Mudd and I'm a second generation piano tech.  I've also been a lifelong singer and musician. My experience with the intricacies of piano tuning and repair began at age 13 when I started working with my dad as he answered his piano calls all over South Central Kentucky. Wow, did we get into some precarious situations!  I learned so much during these years.  I got away from the business for a while when I went to college to become an engineer. After earning a BS in Applied Mathematics from Kentucky State University and a BS in Civil Engineering from the University of Kentucky, I spent 22 years in the engineering profession. Then at the age of 45 decided to retire and pursue other interests.  Little did I know that I would embark on a journey deep into the art of Piano Tuning and Technology.  I truly believe the skill of expertly tuning a piano is a gift from God, and I thank Him for it.  I completed the Piano Technician Academy's course, scoring a 100% on the timed final exam, while breaking their record for finishing it the fastest.(LOL)  This made me a Certified Piano Technician.   I'm also certified by the Dampp-Chaser Coporation to install the Piano Life Saver Climate Control System.
I've tuned THOUSANDS of pianos, since 2013.  I currently tune for Western Kentucky University and hundreds of churches and performing arts entities where quality is of utmost importance.  It brings me great joy to see my happy customers fall in love with music again after I've tuned and/or repaired their piano.   Contact me today for all of your piano needs.
