My name is Mark S. Mudd and I'm a second generation piano tech. I've also been a lifelong singer and musician. My experience with the intricacies of piano tuning and repair began at age 13 when I started working with my dad as he answered his piano calls all over South Central Kentucky. Wow, did we get into some precarious situations! I learned so much during these years. I got away from the business for a while when I went to college to become an engineer. After earning a BS in Applied Mathematics from Kentucky State University and a BS in Civil Engineering from the University of Kentucky, I spent 22 years in the engineering profession. Then at the age of 45 decided to retire and pursue other interests. Little did I know that I would embark on a journey deep into the art of Piano Tuning and Technology. I completed the Piano Technician Academy's course, scoring a 100% on the timed final exam, while breaking their record for finishing it the fastest.(LOL) I have attained the title of Certified Piano Technician and am also certified to install the Piano Life Saver/Dampp-Chaser Climate Control System.
It brings me great joy to see my happy customers fall in love with music again after I've tuned or repaired their piano. Contact me today for all of your piano tuning and maintenance needs.
